Longer eyelashes prevent eyes from drying out
Researchers at Georgia Tech have studied the ideal length of eyelashes, to prevent eyes from drying out and keeping dust and dirt from blowing in. Their studies showed that the most effective length is one-third the width of the eye. This improves the airflow around the eye, and keeps the eye both moist and clean.
If short eyelashes are bothering you, we have Latisse® at our office. This is a prescription medication, which you apply to your upper eyelid, once a night. It makes eyelashes longer, thicker and darker. It takes 3 to 4 months to see the effects, but the application is easy and only uses one drop at a time.
80% of users saw well-defined improvement in their lash length, thickness and color by 3-4 months.
